They practice in order to have a sort of “controlled enthusiasm,” so they don’t distract the musicians.
That’s pretty awesome.

I get that you feel insecure and you want to preemptively squash any backlash against you but now you’re just mocking the fight against fetishizing Japanese people. So ironically instead of preventing criticism against yourself you invited it, and now you look like an asshole.-eri
(This is all background, get to my reasoning and apology under the break.)
I thought I’d long since learned not to respond to things like this, but after an absolutely terrible day, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get any work done unless I ease my pride a little about this.
First of all, katty-wompus is my side account. I use it more often lately than this one, especially since my dad died, because I have made it a “safe place” for myself; it has very little drama or social justice, I unfollow people who offend my sensibilities, and it has lots of cute pink images. I’ve been dealing with all kinds of post-death estate stuff, signing papers, selling off assets, paying debts, and it’s usually not worth it, by the end of the day, to get into an argument over social justice stuff. (I lost two friends between December and now by not learning how to keep my mouth shut about racism on Facebook, and it’s certainly not good for my stressed out mental health.)
